On March 8, 2025, Yoel Carlo Angeloni, the young Italo-Cuban talent, achieved an important victory in New Orleans during a night organized by Bonano Boxing at the Harrah Casino. In a fight that caught the attention of boxing fans, the 21-year-old faced American Jerome Clayton and defeated him by technical knockout in the fourth round, after knocking him down several times throughout the match. With this win, Angeloni continues his perfect streak, bringing his record to 5-0, with 3 wins by knockout.
Born in Rome to an Italian father and a Cuban mother, Angeloni moved with his mother to Cienfuegos, Cuba, at the age of three, where he began cultivating his passion for boxing. Raised in the land of great champions, he developed a boxing style that blends Cuban technique with the Italian approach. At 15, he decided to return to Italy, where he was welcomed by the Italian Boxing Federation (FPI) and started representing Italy in international competitions.
In 2019, his career took off with a gold medal at the Junior European Championships and a victory at the Emil Jechev Tournament in Bulgaria, two achievements that positioned him among the most promising young boxers in the European scene. But Angeloni didn’t stop there: his dream was to become a world champion, which led him to move to the United States, where he entrusted the management of his career to Lou Di Bella, an Italian-American manager known for working with numerous top-level boxers.
With a perfect record of 5 wins from 5 matches, Yoel is ready to take the next step. Despite his young age, he is proving to possess all the qualities needed to compete at the highest levels, and his future goal is to face increasingly stronger opponents to enrich his experience and, perhaps, reach the dream of becoming a world champion.
With his victory over Clayton, Yoel Angeloni has undoubtedly showcased his talent and determination. The future looks bright for this young boxer, who, with his blend of Cuban and Italian roots, is making his mark in the international boxing world.
