From June 10 to 15, 2025, the Czech city of Ústí nad Labem will host the 55th edition of one of the world’s most historic amateur boxing tournaments, now called the World Boxing Challenge – Ústí nad Labem Grand Prix. Originally established in 1968 as the Velká cena města Ústí nad Labem, this event has featured some of the greatest legends of Olympic boxing, including:

Julio Cesar La Cruz
Officially recognized as part of the World Boxing Challenge since 2024, the tournament is a key event on the international calendar, providing boxers the opportunity to earn ranking points and prepare for the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool scheduled for September 2025.
